Recarm! + Exciting News for Persona Fans

Hello hello! Kisa here, reviving the blog from the dead (though I suppose I inadvertently K.O.ed it to be begin with >.>;;;)! Anger not, for I bring good tidings to the fans of Atlus and/or the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series!

Atlus has announced Persona 4: The Golden for the Playstation Vita, and Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena for PS3 and Xbox 360. (Note: The rest of this post is pretty biased in favor of these games. You’ve been warned.) What are these seemly gorgeous titles about now?
Persona 4: The Golden is basically Persona 4 Portable. However, Golden will also feature a new character named Mary. It’s unclear what exactly her role will be in the game as of yet, but she seems to be sporting some Velvet Room-esqe fashions, no? Golden will also have additional voice acting and some more animated scenes. The online functionality will also be taken advantage of, so when you’re in trouble in a dungeon, you can call out for an assist from a friend. How exactly that works, I’m not too clear on, but at least there’s a slight possibility of salvation if you get ‘Hama’ed or ‘Mudo’ed randomly, right? What I’m excited for personally is the possibility of moving around a character instead of a dot. It’s just more satisfying. While there is an official site up for The Golden here, they have yet to put any actual content on there. Something to bookmark for the future though!
Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena is a fighting game, brought to you by the lovely team behind the Guilty Gear and Blaz Blue games. Its official site is actually up here, with some actual content. Which is awesome if you can read Japanese! At least the art is pretty in every language, right? (Thank you Mr. Soejima!) I think what fans are really excited about is the inclusion of Aigis, the lovely stalker robot from Persona 3. With the unlockable characters not yet revealed, could this allude to more returnees from P4’s predecessor? This fan girl hopes yes~! There’s supposed to be an arcade version of the game playable at the Tokyo Game Show, so this one will probably be one to keep a close eye on.
Last, but certainly not least, Persona 5 has been confirmed to be in development! Could it possibly be the mysterious tentative Persona title slated for the 3DS? Probably not. That’d be weird.
This has been Atlus Fangirl Kisa! Thanks for reading! Picture spam here!
